
Laurence Golding
Larry is a Managing Director at Carret. He has over 45 years of experience in the investment management and banking industries. At Carret, he serves as a portfolio manager and advisor for individuals, families, trusts, and endowments. He works closely with individual clients on financial and retirement planning and guides non-profit organizations on capital preservation and forecasting. Larry is a member of the firm’s Equity Investment Policy Committee. He is the author of our quarterly commentary, Carret Equity Insights. Prior to joining Carret, he was a Managing Director and Principal of Morse, Williams & Company. He began his investment career at Putnam Management Company.
Education / Affiliations:
Larry earned a BA cum laude from Harvard College. He received an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Larry served a Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Abbott House, a child welfare organization in Westchester NY, for twenty-five years. He is a past Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee of the New England Society in the City of New York, one of the oldest charitable organizations in the United States. Larry currently serves on the Class Committees for both Roxbury Latin and Harvard College.
Outside Carret:
Larry and his wife Cynthia reside in New York City and proudly serve on the staff of their Russian Blue cat, Pinchus. Larry enjoys sailing and simply messing about in boats
